General Description
The Northstar Community Services District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Specialist. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: serving as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries; managing the District’s Leak Notification and Backflow programs; performing administrative and clerical functions in support of District operations (receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail; answering, screening and directing incoming calls; ordering office supplies); providing support for District initiatives, programs, and departments; maintaining general content for the District website; assisting with the hosting and public notification of board meetings, agendas, minutes, and notices; and assisting in the management of District documents including the organization, filing, retention, and maintenance of central District files.
Qualified applicants must possess strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate will show initiative and the ability to become an integral part of a small but highly-effective team. Previous customer service and local government experience is a plus.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits including:
