Northstar Community Services District invites the public to explore the beauty of the Martis Valley Trail (MVT) a connection between the Town of 
Truckee and the Northstar Community.

The trail is open year-round to the public for hiking, running, biking, and recreating; providing pedestrians and bicyclists a safe route between 
the two destinations. 

The paved pathway winds through the forests of the Northstar community and alongside Martis Creek Wildlife Area with 360° panoramic mountain 
views for 5.3 miles.

The project was an interagency collaboration between Placer County, NCSD with other partner agencies including the United States Army 
Corps of Engineers, the Washoe Tribe, Truckee Donner Land Trust, and Northstar California Resorts (Vail).
