Who are we?  The Northstar Community Services District (NCSD) was formed a little more than 30 years ago in Truckee, California.  Since then, we’ve continued to elevate our overall level of quality and efficiency while delivering services to the Northstar Community.  In fact, because we’ve done it so well approximately eight years ago, service was extended to the Martis Valley communities of Martis Camp, Schaffer’s Mill, and Lahontan.

The Job:  You’ll be an Accounting Technician functioning as part of a remarkable 3-person accounting team.  Your immediate team will consist of another Accounting Technician and an Accounting Manager.  The remainder of your new Administrative team includes the department’s Director, HR Administrator, and Administrative/Customer Service Specialist.

What you’ll do:  You’ll be an integral part of a team responsible for important, recurring accounting and bookkeeping tasks that help us conduct business and provide meaningful financial data.  These tasks include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, Deposits, and assisting with the answering, screening and directing of incoming phone calls.  

As you’ve recognized, you’re going to need some basic experience, but rest assured, we want to hire the right person who is the right fit and we’re hoping you’re it, so if you’re a little nervous about what you have to offer, we understand.  We’re also here to teach you what you need to know to be successful!
